Tom enjoys an active life, including scuba diving, fishing, playing tennis and hiking.

Raised in central Pennsylvania by his grandparents, Tom credits them with instilling in him the values of old-fashioned hard work and dedication. He took these important lessons with him as he attended Penn State and eventually settled in the Northern Virginia area with his wife, Karen, and their two children. The Conners enjoy an active lifestyle together, including hiking, fishing and family camping trips in their RV.
